Tom Craig
Tom Craig began dealing in art in 1985, firstly working for the rare book dealer Colin Franklin and the dealers in prints and drawings, Lott & Gerrish in St James’s, London. It was at these two establishments that he had his first interactions with collectors, dealers and museum curators and where he began to form his understanding of the modern art market.
When Lott & Gerrish left London he realised that the only path that made sense was working on his own behalf and apart from a short period with the Anthony d’Offay Gallery in Dering Street, he quickly took steps to establish a dealership in his own name specialising in Modern British Art. He made frequent trips to the United States developing relationships with museums from New York to Texas. In 1988 Tom moved to Monaco establishing a successful art business serving clients in the Principality.
Since then Tom has continued to work with collectors and museums in the acquisition and sale of works of art across a broad spectrum of periods and genres. The guiding ethos of the company is to search out items of beauty and quality that have enduring value in both aesthetic and financial terms and to assist buyers with varied briefs to enjoy the acquisition of works of art and the many benefits of considered collection forming.
